What is powder coating?

Powder coating is a dry finishing process where pigmented powder is electrostatically applied to a part and then cured in a heated oven. It forms a hard, even, chip-resistant finish that significantly outperforms most paint systems for durability, colour retention and weather resistance.

Do you sandblast?

Yes. Sandblasting and proper surface preparation are part of every coating job, and we also offer standalone sandblasting for customers who don't need a finish applied afterwards.

Can aluminum be powder coated?

Absolutely. Aluminum is one of our most common materials. We adjust the prep and coating system to suit it — especially important for marine and architectural parts.

Can steel be powder coated?

Yes. Steel powder coats beautifully. We handle everything from mild steel weldments to structural fabrications and cast iron parts.

How long does it take?

Small projects can often turn around in just a few days; most large projects are completed within about a week. Lead times depend on current workload and project size — get in touch and we'll give you a real timeline before you commit.

How large is your oven?

Our curing oven is 12 feet long by 6 feet wide by 8 feet tall — large enough to handle most railings, gates, fabricated assemblies and marine sections in one pass.

Do you offer commercial accounts?

Yes. We work with commercial customers on scheduled capacity, repeatable specs and net terms on approved accounts. Talk to us about ongoing production work.

Can I bring one item?

Of course. We coat one-off pieces, hobby projects, single sets of wheels and individual restorations all the time. Big or small — bring it in.

Do you serve all of the Sunshine Coast?

Yes. From Langdale to Powell River — including Gibsons, Roberts Creek, Sechelt, Halfmoon Bay, Madeira Park, Pender Harbour, Egmont and Saltery Bay. Drop-off and pick-up at our shop in Sechelt.
